Rates and fees
Rates are reviewed annually and will be adjusted in line with rising costs.
We know that funding Speech Language therapy is a luxury for many families. If cost is a barrier, we may be able to provide ideas for funding support if available, or can help you with a referral to the Ministry of Education Specialists – they will advise if your child or young person is eligible for their services. There is also a clinic at the University with student clinicians that may be a good fit with some families.
We can provide home visits, or therapy services can be provided in my home in Mairehau. Services can be provided at school or preschool if your child or young person is in education. We know for some young people sensory issues can make community appointments challenging and we are happy to work in with what works best for your whānau.
Home visit rates include travel up to 10 km. For visits further from Mairehau, there may be additional travel charges at the current IRD rate (93 c per km). If there is considerable travel time there may be a travel time fee also. This will be discussed with you in advance so you know what costs will be involved.

You may want to meet with me and decide if I am a good fit for your family. No charge for a meet and greet of half an hour.

Other Services
Assistive Technology CAT 1 Assessments
Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessments will be charged at the standard rates. A loan ipad is available for trial with a variety of communication apps loaded. Alternatively if you have a family device the apps can be loaded on to that. There is a considerable component of report writing for applications.
Professional Development and Staff Training
For all education settings and team members. This can be designed for your organization's needs and goals.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellations make running a business very tricky. I know that children and young people get sick and have things on. Everyone gets one free cancellation per quarter. Please let me know asap by text or email if you need to cancel or reschedule. After that cancellations will be charged as follows:
Less than 24 hours or less notice full fee
24 -48 hours notice 75% of fee
More than 48 hours no fee
Contagious illness: please let me know urgently if I have been exposed to illness so I can minimise risk to other clients.
Invoicing
Invoices will be emailed following your appointment. Payment by bank transfer is required. Statements and receipts can be sent if required. Let me know asap if you have any issues with invoicing or costs.
